The Conti Group has announced another project win in Ghana. Vital Capital awarded Conti a $51.2 million contract earlier this week for site preparation and urban infrastructure work in Kumasi, Ghana.
The project will support Vital Capital’s housing development initiative for the construction of an integrated, 500 unit, high-quality, environmentally-friendly community near Kumasi, Ghana. The goal of the project is to provide Kumasi’s growing middle class with affordable housing opportunities. The project is being developed with the support of His Majesty King Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, King of the Ashanti.
Conti will perform earthwork, paving, landscaping, and electrical installations, as well as construction of storm drainage, water, sewer, retaining walls, and fencing. “We look forward to continuing our work toward improving livability in Ghana. It is an honor to work on projects that are so important to the growth and prosperity of the nation,” says Mike Prudente, Conti Project Manager. The project team anticipates commencing work by the end of October 2013.
